I have seen a large growth of iPadsĀ in our school system and many teachers have been requesting an iPad training. Many have expressed that they love their iPad and use it at home religiously but want to use it for their day-to-day routines in their classrooms. Some teachers just don’t know where to start or what apps to get.
Below I have inserted a copy of my presentation. Here is a list of apps that I use and recommend. Now this does not mean that they are the best apps, just the ones that I felt my teachers might like. One of my key points throughout the presentation is that your iPad is a personal device. You use it as you wish how you wish. There is no one way or right way on how to use the iPad. My wife focuses on using Safari for internet searches and allows our daughters to view/read interactive ebooks, while I focus more on Dropbox, Evernote, Pages, Keynote, making presentations, reading and editing documents.
My best friend gives his iPad to his daughter to practice Algebra II. As you can see everyone is different. The important thing is that you use iPads in a format that helps you and makes you feel comfortable. So here is my presentation – with a strong emphasis on apps.
